Effective date: August 25, 2026
These Paid Consultation Terms apply when a person or business purchases, schedules, or receives a paid consultation directly from AccountingQnA. They supplement the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Trademark Disclaimer, and other published site policies. If a booking confirmation or checkout page states specific session details that differ from this page, the specific booking details apply to that consultation to the extent they do not conflict with applicable law.
Independent service
AccountingQnA provides independent educational guidance about accounting-software workflows, troubleshooting, migration planning, reporting, integrations, bookkeeping processes, and related operational questions. AccountingQnA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official support department of Intuit or QuickBooks, or of any other software vendor discussed on this website. Vendor trademarks are used only to identify the products being discussed.
Scope of a paid consultation
A consultation may include educational troubleshooting, workflow explanations, preparation checklists, migration or reconciliation planning, review of non-sensitive error information, or general guidance about software features and processes. The exact subject, session format, duration, fee, and scheduled time should be stated before payment or in the booking confirmation.
A consultation does not make AccountingQnA your accountant, tax preparer, lawyer, financial adviser, software vendor, payment processor, payroll provider, or authorized representative. We do not promise that a consultation will resolve a vendor-controlled outage, account lock, billing dispute, subscription issue, identity-verification request, refund request, tax filing, payroll filing, or other matter controlled by a third party.
Booking and confirmation
A consultation is considered booked only after AccountingQnA confirms the session or accepts the applicable payment. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address or other agreed contact method and for checking the confirmed date, time, time zone, session method, and scope before the appointment.
If the requested subject is outside the service scope, requires access that AccountingQnA should not receive, or is better handled by an official vendor, licensed accountant, tax professional, attorney, bank, payroll provider, or other specialist, we may decline or stop the consultation and direct you to an appropriate official channel.
Fees and payments
The fee, currency, and any applicable taxes or charges will be shown or communicated before you authorize payment. Payment may be handled by a third-party payment provider under that provider's own terms and privacy practices. Do not send full card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, one-time codes, access tokens, tax identification numbers, payroll records, or other highly sensitive financial information through website forms, chat, email, or consultation messages.
AccountingQnA will never require your QuickBooks, Intuit, bank, card, email, payroll, or other account password as a condition of a consultation.
Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds
You may request cancellation or rescheduling before the consultation begins by using the Contact page or the contact method stated in your booking confirmation. If AccountingQnA cancels a paid consultation and cannot provide a reasonable replacement time, the amount paid for the undelivered consultation will be refunded.
If you cancel before work on the consultation has begun, AccountingQnA may refund the amount paid, less any non-refundable processing charge that a payment provider lawfully retains. After a consultation has started, or after a specifically requested written review or deliverable has been substantially provided, fees for the portion already delivered are generally non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any more specific cancellation or refund terms shown before payment will also apply.
Your responsibilities
You must have authority to discuss the business, records, software account, or workflow involved. Before making material changes to live accounting data, maintain a current backup or export when the software permits it and verify the effect of each change. You remain responsible for approving entries, filings, reconciliations, payroll actions, tax treatment, financial statements, and other business decisions.
Do not share customer financial records, bank details, card data, tax IDs, payroll data, passwords, authentication codes, private access links, or client information that is not necessary for the consultation. When an example is needed, redact or replace sensitive values.
Remote access and credentials
AccountingQnA's normal consultation model is educational guidance. Do not provide passwords, authentication codes, or unrestricted account credentials. If a future service requires a different access method, the access scope and security terms must be disclosed separately before you authorize it. Nothing on this page authorizes AccountingQnA to impersonate you or contact a vendor, bank, tax authority, or other third party as your representative.
No accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice
Information provided during a consultation is general educational and software-workflow guidance unless a separate written engagement with a properly licensed professional expressly states otherwise. For tax positions, legal obligations, statutory filings, audited financial statements, regulated financial advice, or decisions requiring professional judgment, consult a qualified professional who can review your complete circumstances.
Third-party software and services
QuickBooks and other named products are controlled by their respective vendors. Features, prices, policies, availability, security requirements, and support procedures can change without notice. AccountingQnA is not responsible for third-party outages, account decisions, billing actions, data retention, product changes, or acts or omissions of a software vendor or payment provider.
No guaranteed outcome
AccountingQnA does not guarantee that a consultation will fix every technical issue, recover data, obtain a refund, restore a suspended account, achieve a particular tax or financial result, or cause a software vendor to take a requested action. Results depend on factors including software versions, permissions, data quality, backups, third-party systems, and information supplied by the customer.
Privacy and records
Information provided in connection with a consultation is handled according to the Privacy Policy. Provide only the minimum information reasonably necessary for the issue. AccountingQnA may keep booking, payment-reference, communication, and service records where reasonably needed for administration, security, dispute handling, legal obligations, and service improvement, subject to the published privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You may not use a consultation to request credential theft, unauthorized account access, deceptive impersonation, circumvention of security controls, concealment of fraud, manipulation of financial records, unlawful tax evasion, or other illegal or abusive conduct. AccountingQnA may refuse or end a consultation when a request creates a security, privacy, legal, or safety concern.
Limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, AccountingQnA is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business-interruption losses arising from reliance on educational consultation guidance, third-party software, vendor decisions, unavailable backups, inaccurate information supplied by a user, or changes made outside AccountingQnA's control. Nothing in these terms excludes any right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Updates to these terms
AccountingQnA may update these terms when consultation features, payment methods, laws, or operational procedures change. The effective date above identifies the current version. The terms shown or provided when a consultation is booked will govern that booking unless a later change is required by law or is expressly accepted by the customer.
